…I’m sorry, but this is beyond raising awareness. This has become a witch hunt. Yes, I’ve read the master post. Yes, I’ve kept up with aaalllll of the posts on Tumblr. Hard not to when every 10 posts or so is another “Psyguy is Satan“ post.  So yes, I do know what’s going on from the side of the "victims”.

Psyguy is a creep. An asshole. A sick man. He did a lot or bad shit. I get it. But this constant harassment is unnecessary. Can I blame him for removing everything? Not at all. Not when he’s undoubtedly being flooded and harassed by all angles from complete strangers. And seeing so many take pleasure “exacting revenge” against a man you don’t even know is sickening. I don’t agree with this being simply to “raise awareness”. This has taken that turn from raising awareness to a lynch mob. 

Honestly 99% of the people who comment and hound him, have no god damned business doing so. This is between him and the ACTUAL people in his life. Those people, who if they were so horribly wronged, need to stand up on their own two feet and do something about it, not stand on the shoulders of strangers.  If you feel what he did was criminal, then press charges. Organizing, enticing, and continuing to endorse these types of “group justice” is only hurting you. Why? Because if this does eventually go to a judicial system, everything said and done in all of these “call out posts” can be used AGAINST YOU. Any good lawyer can use all of this insanity as “defamation of character”, or “cyber bullying”, or a countless other things that can get this whole ordeal tossed out of court. His “victims” who want justice should be doing it through the proper channels. This is only putting you lower than him.

And yes, I did say “if” and I did put victims in quotations. Do I believe everything written? No, I can’t say that I do, because I wasn’t there.  There’s 3 sides to every story, his, hers, and the truth. I have no actual idea WHAT has been going on, and NOR DO ANY OF YOU, FANDOM.  We’re all only hearing small pieces of the story, written by people telling you what they want to tell you. Am I saying they are lying? No. Because I don’t know if they are. I have no idea if what they speak is truth, and neither does anyone else. I have no idea if these are fact by fact accounts, exaggerations, or all out lies. NO ONE ONLINE DOES.

I take everything I read with a grain of salt. A very big grain.  If everything was all so terrible, so horrendous, so vile that the internet has had to turn into a lynch mob and drive a single man into hiding, then where’s the police reports? Where’s the charges? Why aren’t any of these “victims” taking legal action? If so many victim were underage when all of this happened, why aren’t you going to the police and filing a report? Even if it happened years ago, the police will still look into it. They have to. And if they see multiple police reports coming in on the same person, they will act.

I understand if the “victims” are scared to act. I understand if they are afraid to get their hands dirty and do something. BUT, if you feel this strongly about how bad this man hurt you, then it is up to YOU, as the “victim” to take this to the proper authorities and have him brought to justice.You were strong enough to speak out on an internet forum where you are protected, but are you strong enough to do what it takes to have him properly dealt with to ensure that he can never commit these crimes you accuse him of again? If you are that serious about protecting others from this person, this “pedophile” as you have labeled him, then it is up to you the “victims” and ONLY you to act. You are the only ones who can! What good is this internet witch hunt when your “assailant” is still free to walk the streets, disappear into the depths of the web, create another internet username, and continue his “crimes”? If you are that scared for yourself, and others like you who may fall prey to this “predator”, then be BETTER than him. Take this to the proper channels, and stop hiding behind your computer screen DO SOMETHING REAL ABOUT IT.

I’m sorry, but until I hear of someone finally standing up and going to the authorities, all I’m seeing here is an internet lynch mob.

….except it’s already been stated they ARE contacting authorities. So much for keeping up with the material, eh? 

Calling out a predator is not “lowering yourself to his level”. Raising awareness over the social media that he uses as a hunting ground is not “weakness”. You seem more concerned about commentary on his  “sick” behavior than you are about the people who suffered from it. You’d rather rail at the victims for being “weak” and “ineffectual” and use your little pretentious quotes around VICTIM because somehow, atop that funny fence you’re sitting, you admit Psyguy did “bad shit” but The Truth™ could possibly mean that maaaaaaybe he didn’t abuse and use all these people and all these corresponding stories are just a big lie. 

Yes, keep it secret, keep it safe, say nothing on the ~internets~, so he can safely continue using the ~internets~ as a tool as he has been all this time, in a comfortable position of influence. Don’t break the web, how will the poor spider catch flies? Leave Psyguy aloooone!

By the by, where are you finding all of this “lynching”? Because I have seen exactly three comments regarding this on any of his personal pages, and one of those was a legitimate question. The people who brought this to light actively discourage harassment, while Psyguy’s White Knight squad was fucking notorious in the day when this was current. I mean, even now, he used someone’s PARENTS to get them off the internet, and threatened legal action via a….copyright lawyer. Action that mysteriously has never happened. Wonder why!

You need to learn the difference between speaking one’s mind on “bad  shit” and a lynch mob. For example, I am now going to give you a kindly fuck you for calling any victim of abuse “weak” and using those pretentious little quotes because You Know Better™ (although you obviously are good buddies with Jack Shit). That isn’t a lynch mob. That’s you being goddamn obtuse.

As of 10:30PM EST, 28/6/14, superpsyguy is now a protected account. All of his art and poetry submissions from his deviantart account have been hidden and the journals purged (considerably more effort to accomplish, yet not nearly as permanent as deactivation). He has yet to deactivate like he has with the now-defunct ‘abberuin’ page. Man, now it REALLY feels like a smear campaign. What more do you guys want from him? I can understand the first post and I really don’t know what side to believe so I stay neutral. However, now it looks like he’s the one being bullied.

You can’t claim to be neutral and in the same breath call this a “smear campaign”. Try again.

I understand that its a lot to take in, but there is overwhelming evidence against him. Chat logs, screenshots, and stories from ex-girlfriends and ex-friends alike about his abusive, manipulative, predatory behavior. This is no smear campaign. We are a group of people who he’s mistreated, sexually harassed, and threatened into silence over the years, and every single one of us has had enough. All we’re trying to do is spread awareness so that others don’t go through what we did.

What more do we want? Should be obvious.

We want him to atone for his actions.

If he were actually a decent person (he’s not), he would have tried to set things right a long, long time ago. BEFORE all of this came to light. He hasn’t tried to do the right thing even once. Not once. All he wants to do is run and hide instead of face the truth and come clean.

I hope you reconsider your stance on this. This is not the sort of thing an innocent person does.
