Lore: Six Harmonies is a fairly new conglomerate created by an Ul’dahn refugee named Qaraghoa Dotharl. Originating in Ul’dah, several attempts were made to quash the company in its infancy. There are rumors of the chairwoman handling affairs personally to the point that some referred to her as the Knife in the Night. No one could ever pin any crimes on her, however, try as some might.
Some say the company fled Ul’dah to escape assassins of the very real variety and the more metaphorical market variety. But they soon settled in Kugane and set about rebuilding. With the Empire’s defeat and Doma’s freedom hard won, it grew almost overnight to a full operation. These days the company’s wealth continues to grow and any merchant stupid enough to attempt shoving them out of the market is swiftly dealt with. There are some who whisper about payments made to certain members of the Sekiseigumi to look the other way on occasion.
Currently rumors abound that Six Harmonies Trading Company has sent envoys to Ishgard. Something about a deal to help rebuild the nation… and enrich themselves in the process.
