Asexuality is to sexuality as atheism is to theism. It’s not another type of thing, it’s the lack of it altogether. I honestly don’t think it belongs with LGBT. It’s just not the same issue.
I thought LGBTA was a safe space for all people of different sexual orientation
. Cause, you know asexual is one of them.
And considering I grew up thinking I was broken and something was wrong with me until I got education outside school and figured out who I was with LGBTA sites and people.
I grew up with family members saying they were disappointed I would never have children. You haven’t met the right person yet! You need therapy, there’s something wrong with you. Everyone needs someone to be complete! You just need to try harder!
I forced relationships because I believed those fucking lies. I let people coerce me into doing things deep down I know I didn’t want. And I still felt nothing. Men? Well no, I have close friends, had people I cared for but I feel nothing. Women? Anyone? Same fucking result. NOTHING.
I WISH I could have easily known what I was then. it would have saved me so much pain.
I wish someone told me it was okay to want a close relationship without anything sexual. That I didn’t need to fuck someone to make a relationship meaningful. That a close platonic relationship is just as valid.
Because I AM SO FUCKING TIRED OF GATEKEEPERS DEEMING ME NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH IN SAFE SPACES.
So you can kindly fuck off if you think excluding aces is ok because its “not the same issue.”
Not sure why this post started floating around again but I reread it and was reminded how much of similar stuff I STILL hear every day.
I don’t even like discussing it with many people because I’m either dismissed or met with jokes. My parents are very well meaning and try to understand but sometimes underhanded stuff still slips through. Strangers and acquaintances seem to always think they would know myself better than me and parrot the same lines I hear so often again and again and again.
I guess that explains why I always had at least one very close platonic relationship going on at a time. Love was there, just not anything romantic or sexual. But I know it was love, I deeply cared for this person, I would do anything for this person. Growing up I just figured the other stuff would naturally follow, but it never did. Caused a lot of pain and bullying that only reinforced my idea that I was broken.
I’m doing much better knowing what I know now, and I have a deep relationship I’m truly happy with.
My other ff14 toon been working on. He’s Kefka but I RP him more as “Lord Palazzo Dzemael.”
I hate how long its gonna take me to get the glamour gear he needs but hoping it’ll look awesome when I’m done. Got a Bard, BLM, and SCH set that may work.
I saw you on him in the Gold Saucer while you were AFK. I was on my way to do the mini cactpot, and I came to a screeching halt when I noticed.
My thought process was as follows:
“Is that a Kefka?”
“That is a Kefka.”
“Wait, he’s a bard, not a caster.”
“…oh my god, he’s totally gonna go for the Amon set if he’s setting up a bard glamour.”
I love the amon set so much just sucks that claws of the beast don’t work with it so gotta use it for a different set.Which would be for the other main coat I’m gonna go for is SCH only but kinda looks more like his sprite o3o
In the Underswap AU idea I had, the main thing was to switch around roles and jobs, but everyone retains their same personality. The circumstances however, would sometimes be vastly different.
Toriel had gone through a war, lost her home, and now lost her son. Not only that, she found out it was her other adopted son that ended up getting Asriel killed. She felt so utterly betrayed and disgusted, she couldn’t handle it anymore.
When she tells Asgore that she wanted to wipe out humanity, Asgore is visibly shaken. With the war, he was familier what that could do to someone. He’d seen those eyes before. He was fine if he was the one suffering, but he couldn’t bear seeing Toriel like this.
He breaks his trident smashing his “fight” button, embedding the bottom in the throne room. Not only did he refuse to fight Toriel about this, he permanently made it so he could never fight again. He flees, Toriel screaming that he was a miserable coward.
Toriel gives Gastor permission to do whatever it takes to acquire the souls.
Gastor’s power is accessing save data. He had a humanoid test dummy(used to test anti-human weapons) that a certain not-very-good-for-conversation ghost decided to haunt. With many tests, he found he could load any save file he wanted into the dummy, and the dummy would be a mirror of the human (LVL/EXP/Items) If Frisk makes it to the hallway he’d test them by loading thier own save into the dummy. Anything other that LVL 1 initiates a fight, difficulty based on level. If you were a genocide route, he’d tell you he’d seen the same darkness humans before and loads a level 20 file in instead.
Gastor uses the same dummy/robot to train Sans, the Royal Guard captain. Sans only knows the 7th child will be someone capable of horrid things (as Gastor proves with some of the files he can load) so this Sans is a tad more–
paranoid. Damn flower isn’t helping his case either. He can’t turn off his eye anymore because of the paranoia, thus needing the eye patch.
While Toriel Dreemurr is more closed off as queen, Asgore keeps the ruin’s door open. He can’t cook very well so he expanded his garden outside, so while there’s snow everywhere it looks more like spring by the door. Papyrus, a sentry, sees him eventually and they become friends. He calls him Mr.Claus (Yeah. he still thinks that. Oops) and learning of Asgore’s cooking issue, he asks the royal cook/mage Undyne (Tune in Undyne the Dining, a very popular TV show) to teach him how to cook.
Asgore personally asks Papyrus to help Frisk reach the castle. He knows what Toriel will probably do, but hopes these two can change things. Hope was something he could cling to after all these years.
Papyrus would end up being like a party member because subtlety isn’t something he quite understands, and wouldn’t just kinda follow behind. He’d be a tad more proactive.
Though here that would be a great idea.
Also Mettaton is the only ghost without a robot body in this AU. They hired extra help on the snail farm, and Snailpants still whines he never made it big in the city.
Metta’s music video about how terrible Snailpants is at his job went viral.
((We had multiple questions wanted us to expand a bit on that Underswap AU. The entry was a one shot sort of deal, but its based on a AU I had tossed around for a few weeks or so. Here’s the basic gist of the plot line for those of you who were curious!))
That’s the beauty of AUs, more than one can exist.
I mean swapping their role in the story isn’t a new concept, its most of the AUs I’ve seen besides theme variation. Or both.
The Jumbletale AU idea itself was something I had been kicking around since before Halloween. Changed quite a bit but some ideas I thought were neat to explore so I expanded it since.
and it’s not the only idea I’ve toyed with:
so yeah, nothing is stopping you from making your own.
Not really familiar with Warcraft, but is there a canon reason beyond fanservice as to why the Orc men look like Liefeld characters while the Orcish women look like regular, conventionally attractive humans but with pointy ears and subtly pointy teeth?
Like, were they an engineered species like in Lord of the Rings and the Discworld, with all the traits introduced with magic to make them supersoldiers being on the Y chromosone or something, so the women are closer to their original human-ish/Elfy ancestor? …If so, the culture of these folk could be interesting, in the sense that they were created for a specific purpose and have been left to their devices for possibly hundreds of years. Would they have a religion based around their creators, what are gender roles like in this society, are women discouraged from being involved in fighting or are they on a more even footing than their human counterparts in this area? etc.
Or is this one of those situations where we’re not meant to think about it due to stuff like this just being set dressing in the genre. Like how everyone’s problems can almost always be solved with a different monarch, rather than just setting up a democracy or some sort.
I like my abandoned race of sentient supersoldiers idea more personally. Would explain why Orcs go around fighting everyone (it being what they were literally made to do originally) without getting into that vaguely racist ”Barbarian race“ trope (like the Dothraki).
Oh man, I didn’t know it was this bad.
That looks..yikes.
Well, Orc women don’t look like that, Garona was half orc, half human (I think it was human!), so she has the features of a human female as well!
And if you don’t think the male orc is attractive, I’ve got a whole side of the fandom that’d probably like to have a word with you!
Just my two cents though!
Half Orc and Half Draenei. Which… Draenei women were pretty curvy.
when people who aren’t familiar with warcraft try to talk shit about warcraft and just wind up being shot down
If she’s half draenei why no crest, horns, hooves, tail, tentacles, or anything resembling a draenei tho??
lazy as fuuuuuuck
ok further point, that green dude I posted before is Med’an. His parents are Medivh (Human) and Garona (Half Orc/half Draenei). Literally her son, a QUARTER DRAENEI, looks MORE DRAENEI than her. :(
I mean female characters getting shafted model wise isn’t new in warcraft.
Like female Taunka are just reused Tauren for example.
So when I heard Garona being in a movie, I was hype because hey, they can push the design since its not a game model! Female Draenei have sharp teeth, crests, and some other neat designs–like I dunno–
that’d be neat, I’d think, but I know not likely. And even then, other official art of her is more like:
She is one of the most well known rogues/assassins the in warcraft universe, so that’s one of the main reason when I saw that lax presenting pose in the poster, my kneejerk reaction was “what the actual fuck.”
I mean, genetics is a very complex thing so take that into account.
We aren’t just mixing flowers here, it’s full blown people.
Considering how quickly they’ve rewritten her to be half draenei or half human and the history behind a lot of female races not looking much like their male counterparts (Trolls and Mogu for example), its still shitty lol.
If she’s half draenei people are quick to say oh, we was engineered to look more orc–except she doesn’t look more orcish here, she looks human. So was she made to look more human then? Even then she just looks like a spraypainted human.
Like, maybe, just maybe, the design is just not very good lmao.

Never touching the ‘Super Mario’ series. Or the Mii Fighters, or the AC cards. Or the one where the small robot tries to save its small, dying franchise. Or the yellow painted Mega Man. Bes literally just yellow paint.
borrowing the ign pics because my cameria is a potato–i acually prefer the mario series amiibo over thier smash counterparts, specially peach and bowser. I’ve actually used them for drawing references lol. They just feel a bit closer to model since they dont get muddy with detail.
