So a while back, I posted about a seller on the Mateus MB who had a positively Trumpian tantrum because I was price matching them, driving their own price down to less than half the normal sale value in an apparent attempt to bait me into lowering my own (my name was at the top of the price match, onoes). They accidentally sold one at that price when I didn’t respond, then marked their prices back up.
Well, they’re at it again, lmao. Apparently, they are outright bragging they are flooding any market I am in because I dare undercut them 9_6 No, seriously. We counted ‘em, this seller has currently dedicated 11+ retainers to this “trolling” effort. 11 retainers. . I hope it’s alts. I hope this person didn’t spend real money on fake pixel mads. In either case, all I can think of is the Saitama Okay except 1F lol
But really, the only things being accomplished here are:
1) Dragging unrelated sellers into their salt against me 2) Occupying (a lot) of their retainer space on…undercutting their own merch…because they had a mad they got undercut? Insert “Okay” here again lmao 3) Nothing else, actually. I gather my own mats, so I have zero overhead. I’m still making money, and since I replenish stock as it sells, I’ll be the only one making sales if they don’t want to undercut at that point.
What is it about the Mateus MB? First the dude changing his retainer name to “Onefearsucks”, now this positively Presidential angry babby. I do not recall this kind of shit on Balmung.
On the plus side, if you are on Mateus and need furniture, get on it now! Prices on select merchandise will never be better, because Sunshine and Ian are helping me return the favor \o/
Christ lol. Basically I was by myself when I got my house on Mateus and relied on the MB for furniture. And dear god the prices were like….5x higher on everything.
Wanted a moogle letter box? People were selling them for 450-550k. Got my own mats, crystals and everything—and the charge price I got was 70-85k. Literally how much a premade letter box was on my old server at the time.
Already had an omnicrafter elsewhere and I didn’t wanna do it again so…Tarabob power leveled crafting and now nothing hurts lol. We hit our main goal of the FC house and prices on furniture are now normalizing with other servers!
I don’t like using the word cringe but good lord this person’s reaction to this is uh. Oof lmao. I can’t imagine how upset they’ll be when people can visit other servers to buy things lol.
Also, protip, trying to sell a vendor mat item for 100k +down to less than half that? We still don’t lose money my dude lmao.

The “disruption” is selling furniture at a competitive price. If I were a lazy shit, the mats bought off the MB would run around 24k, Mateus being Mateus. I still make a handy profit, and so does anyone who undercuts me. Too little for this seller apparently, who demanded I "choose one market or the other to crash” because they’d been there “for years”.
They also told me they bought my merch to flip, complete with “^^”
idk man, a house, two relos for me and Sunshine, apartment for Ian, a medium beachfront Shiro for Sunshine’s FC, various mounts and minions, my free market’s flourishing just fine

I wanna give the benefit of doubt that maybe this person didn’t know the harassment this dude did, but common sense. If someone asks you to leave a message to someone that had blocked them, DON’T.
I still don’t get why a 70 Omnicrafter would be so mad over a ARR item that doesn’t even require a mastery book to craft. If you’re still making 4-5x time the price of the raw mats, you’re doing just fine. MOVE ON.
