If you want to commission a certain artist and you feel their prices are low, you’re very welcome to give them a nice tip. Giving them something is better than giving them nothing at all. 

Not to mention if a artist is starting low, could be they’re trying to get people to start buying.  Hard to gain commissions if you’re unknown.

I mean christ I’ve had people tell me a drawing that I’d spend 2 hours on for 10 bucks was too much money, so you don’t win either way.
