Wow are SJW people and just other bad people in general still harassing Jontron?

I’m sick of this shit, I mean honestly there are MANY other things that are multitudes in importance in terms of something that is “bad”

OH NO JON SAID SOME STUFF I DON’T LIKE.  LET’S ALL GANG UP ON HIM AND TRY TO MAKE HIM MISERABLE.

Seriously this shit is just terrible…  I’m sorry but if you call yourself a SJW unironicly, I will most likely hold very little respect for you because it seems that it’s just a cover to harass, bully and manipulate people to meet their view of a perfect world.

There have been people like this many times throughout history.  In the 1930s a certain individual from Germany had a vision of a perfect world, was it right that he basically started the largest conflict in human history for that?

Jesus Christ people on this website need to grow up…

No, people on this website like yourself need to learn to think critically and do their research. Now, why are a lot of people angry with him for calling someone “retarded”?

“Retarded” has been used as a slur against the intellectually disabled for a very long time. It has been in the process of falling from official use because of the harm it did. The American Association For Mental Retardation voted to change its name to The American Association On Intellectual And Developmental Disabilities in 2006. The Associated Press struck the term from journalistic use in 2008. Rosa’s Law has been changing the federal terminology since it passed in 2009. It was removed from medical use in 2010.

The Special Olympics and Best Buddies, along with dozens of other advocacy groups for the intellectually disabled and their families, support r-word.org , which seeks to make people realize the long-reaching harm language can do.

Special Olympics champion John Franklin Stephens has spoken out against use of the word by public figures numerous times.

The Ringer star Eddie Barbanell shares how it impacted his life and why he wants it to not be used.

I want you to stop and think about Rosa Marcellino. Special needs children are bullied with that term on a regular basis. Rosa’s Law came to be because it hurt this little girl and she did not want it to be used to hurt anymore. Jontron claims “freedom of speech”. What about those childrens’ right to grow up not being mocked and made to feel inferior? Because when a popular figure like Jontron is lazy and thoughtless with his words, he is implicitly encouraging every bully who uses it.

It’s a revolting irony you try to parallel his being called out to Nazi Germany, considering Hitler authorized the slaughter of the intellectually disabled with Action T4.

People may want to dice semantics with his usage of the word on an inanimate object, but that doesn’t change the fact he then used it as an insult against someone who politely asked him to use a different term. He may want to dice semantics and claim to be a “just” man, but that doesn’t change the fact he’s using language that has been used to harm good people for generations.

I grew up in the time that word was an acceptable medical term, and when I learned its hateful history I removed it from my vocabulary. So what’s Jontron’s excuse? “Freedom of speech”? Slurs are actually hate speech.

“Speech that attacks a person or group on the basis of e.g. race, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.

Sound familiar? Because it sure as hell doesn’t sound like anything a “just man” would say. Only something a selfish shitlord would. This isn’t “social justice warriors”. This is common fucking respect to people who are impacted by that slur every day.

I see you have a pony icon. One of the writers of MLP: FiM, Amy Keating Rogers, is an advocate of the intellectually disabled. “My son Soren (of Soarin’ fame) is severely disabled. We do not use the word “retarded” in our house because it really has become an offensive slur.” Not to mention the whole point of that show is to not be a jackass like Jontron. Rewatch a few episodes, because you clearly missed the whole point of the series.

Think criitcally. Realize what weight your words can have, if only to realize what they are saying about you.

Once people start treating hateful words as having as potent an effect as physical violence, then the “free speech”...
