Manga Studio is great for a vectored like look without actually having to vector anything. Big downside is its super tedious, boring and repetitive. That and MS lacks a TON in different layer types so lighting either has to be done straight in coloring or in another program.
Sorta why I’ve been leaning on SAI more lately. Adore its brushes. Liking Photoshop CS6 a lot more since I started leaning more of what its capable of.
wow really? manga studio for vector look? REALLY? It was made to create the look of traditional comic art in computers. Repetitive? Sorry not seeing it. Manga Studio is the best rendering(fancy word for penciling for plebeians) and inking. its airbrushing is as close to the real thing you can get.
For the method I used for the MLP style it is. Yes you can get a inking style and a pencil style, but I was reffering to the MLP look.
Water color look in MS? Eh. Pencil? Sure. Black ink? Yeah.
For the MLP style in the pic above? Line tool. Line tool. Line tool. Using 34 different colors. :P
ur killing yourself. why waaaaaaaaaaaaai
For the much bigger pics and panels MS is just WWWAAAAY better for keeping track over everything and coloring is literally fill bucket.

In SAI I can ink WAY faster but filling in the flats takes longer. I prefer the smoother more inky lines of SAI but for those big huge complicated pics?
dear lord MStudio all the way.
