For those curious, the whole story.
It’s amazing how you can be accused of hating on someone when not only have you taken measures to ignore them, you haven’t even mentioned them publicly for a good half a year. You “begged” the argument that began it all be dropped over a year ago, Jitters, and it was. Since you have chosen to unearth this stinking dead horse but left a few vital pieces in the ground, let me put the whole picture together for those reading. I will number and link for clarity, and then, this will be the end of it–again–on our part. I don’t know why you keep bringing it up, but I am tired of hearing how much you leave out in the retelling and I am tired of hearing about it via hate mail and threats from some of your followers.
First off.
1) “But they also excluded one of my friends from something simply by being associated with me and one of my blogs." ((Link/ Screencap))
When Discorderly Conduct was new, your friend chose to begin passive-aggressive and not so passive-aggressive snipes on me because I used a very common joke (that the Pink Celestia was Discord’s doing), and he claimed I copied him. He also ranted when Equestria Daily featured my blog, despite the fact I have never submitted anything to them directly, and occassionally reblogged me just to be negative. Even his co-writer was embarrassed by this behavior and asked him to stop. Not wanting to deal with someone who has been rude to me? Horror story. ((Link/Screencap))
This was before his collaborations with you, so no, this was not about you. Please put your mind at ease that he did this all by himself.
2) "You all think you’re so pure and high and mighty” (( link: http://jitterbugjive.tumblr.com/post/54108179494/well-that-stings ))
There is a misconception that we hate porn, ((Link/Screencap)) and there have been many attempts to use that as some kind of insult. Tara was a published porn artist with Antarctic Press when Fred Perry’s Gold Digger was new. I draw porn to this day. So does she, so does Pinchy. Sometimes even together, surprise!
We have no problem with good clean fun. But we have every problem with with calling people who don’t like rape “hater fucktards”. Now, let’s prod this reeking corpse, since again, you keep dragging it out, despite your own request -over a year ago- that this argument be dropped. Here’s a big chunk of facts you left buried. Oopsie.
This was the comment that started it all over a year ago, by Tara, when our friend launched his Master blog. Observe the “harshness” she doled out. She even named and linked the blog she was talking about–oh, wait. Notice, again, that she did not actually name OR link the blog. Oh no. And it wasn’t even your blog. It was her opinion on the content she’d seen there–before it was all deleted, there was a very unnecessarily graphic scene of Chrysalis being raped and ripped apart–and the attitude the mod displayed regarding it, which was to mock anyone who didn’t like the scene as “hater fucktards”. It isn’t cool at all to call people who have a problem seeing that “hater fucktards”. There must have been a guilty conscience at work, because your friend came after that vague statement with guns blazing.

Jealous, really. And since when is being repelled by sexual assault “political correctness”?
No wonder some followers think it’s okay to make threats.

Cool story bro.
And then you stepped in. (( Link/Screencap ))
Tara was the “jackass”. This was supposed to all be HER fault, for voicing that vague opinion, while your friend was raging like a runaway truck. Protip. If a blog can’t maintain a modicum of respect and self-control when presenting a subject like sexual assault, then expect to get some Gordon Ramsay-grade reviews wherever and however. Her comment was not the ultimate problem here, but it was the only one you chose to recognize.
Then, you asked Tara flat-out if she had been raped (( Link/Screencap )) and made passive-aggressive comments about why was there no objections to the Master raping Discorded Whooves, implying a double standard (( Link/Screencap )), the one time I became involved in this. Let me emphasize that:
You.
ASKED.
If she had been raped.
In some kind of attempt to discredit her.
That is SICK and you should know better. It appears that tact is something you insist on only for yourself. You asked if she had been raped, your friend asked if she was jealous her character hadn’t been raped, I wonder where the impression that neither of you treat it respectfully came from? You are not the only one who has suffered traumatic physical and mental abuse, and Tara is one of them. Let me repeat this real slow too so it sinks in. Her mother beat the shit out of her and her father, so much so that when he got them away from that, the court awarded sole custody to HIM. That was almost unheard of in custody trials back on the 70s, or even to this day. And then she was kidnapped away from him by her mother, and hidden away for almost a year before she was found, mostly kept in a dark closet. Her father had health problems related to the damage done until his death. Surprise. Does she qualify to speak now? Can we drop the “purist social justice brony” bullshit? Because it doesn’t take “social justice” to be disgusted by these things when they are portrayed irresponsibly. It’s common sense to expect some of us are going to express our distaste when such material is not only presented like porn, but when the mod displays such an astonishing lack of care when addressing it. Or are you saying that abuse victims who are triggered by this shit should just be good and silent or face the wrath of you and your followers? News flash, it doesn’t, and it shouldn’t work that way. If you are so sensitive to the issue, then “hater fucktard” shouldn’t even be in your vocabulary when that blog was MADE to be seen by the public. Freedom of speech works both ways. If you don’t want flies, don’t use vinegar.
This is where the ignores came in. There are no blind assumptions being made. This isn’t even about the art. The behavior displayed on this subject is where our conclusions were drawn. Our “do not deal with” lists are about ten names long, tops. It takes quite a bit to get on that list. So, this was not about you either, originally. It was about your friend’s attitude, whose blog you repeatedly said you have no control over. But for whatever reason, you had to make it about you. So here we are. “If you don’t like it, ignore it”, remember? Or does that only apply when it’s convenient?
3) “I let it slide when the mod made a nasty journal about me on DA a long time ago that was implying I was trying to somehow taint the minds of poor innocent children by having a panel at Bronycon." ((Link/Screencap))
"Nasty”. Oh my, what did I say to warrent that again? (( Link )) Yeah, look at that name-calling–oh wait. Look at that, I’m only debating content and even defending examples of NSFW artists only advertising SFW material.
Very specifically, a “Discorded Whooves” panel, which by name alone would be promoting a very NSFW blog and various NSFW linked blogs at an all-ages convention. Once again, it was not about you. It was about content. It could have been anyone. It was stated more than once we had no problems with the safe-for-work blogs, so why that is repeatedly glossed over is beyond me. Several safe-for-work panels were approved for the daytime panels, and the age restricted material in an appropriate spot much like how anime conventions handle it…and you heard no objections over that. I wonder why that is?
4) “And guess what.
I’m only a few tables away from you guys at Bronycon." ((Link/Screencap))
That’s nice. And guess what?
We didn’t care. We chose long ago not to deal with either of you.
We were there to sell, and to meet up with each other. I don’t know why you feel we must be forced to acknowledge you, but no, we do not have to.
And now, most recently:
5) "Also apparently Discorderly, Cupidite and friends hate me SO much that they actually preferred to give someone free merchandise over having to sign a poster drawn by me." (( Link/Screencap ))
Your friend was given free prints after he brought over one of yours–face-down and blank–and tried to have us sign it as the vendors were closing up on Sunday. Artists choosing not to sign other artists’ prints is not uncommon. We did it with a couple other people and prints/con sketches that weekend, except then we had time to sketch something. We gave him what we could as we were in the process of packing up to leave. But, why, look at this:
"The worst I’d ever do to them is ask for their autographs on one of my own posters of their respective blog characters with a smug expression.”
(( Link/Image ))
Deja-vu. Or a very, very strange coincidence. Whichever. We were polite to all of your other friends who came over as well, had laughs, shook hands, whether they mentioned you or not. Yet here you are trying to create drama where there is none. Again. And again. And again.
So, we hope this clears up a few things. Now have that good day yourself, and go those separate ways you wanted so badly back then. No one is stopping you. But let’s do a TL;DR in case that doesn’t work:
Leave us alone. Or don’t YOU have anything better to do with your time?Because obviously you seem to have forgotten what really happened.
I wouldn’t say that…. but OK jitterbugjive was a real jerk to me I admired and asked him a real simple question he...
Wait, that’s Brandy!?
Oh christ, are you serious?
Anyone has right to his own opinion, Tara made hers, in return received unneeded spite for saying it. Jitter wasn’t...
