I got in with an Haurchefant RPer, today. Which was great! We loved him. We made jokes, we laughed, we enjoyed RPing right back with him… (Spoilers ahead)
Until he purposefully died on the second boss. Running ahead of the party to die to mobs.
In the party chat he wrote “Oh, do not look at me so. A smile better suits a hero…”.
We all played along until we realized… He wasn’t going to res. He planned on spending the rest of the time letting us go on without him.
I get it… Playing true to the character… But don’t ruin someone else’s time to do it.
Some people just want to finish their roulettes before their baby wakes up from a nap. Or get that last XP in before going to work.
Just… Don’t do this. Please?
As a NPC player myself I’m sorry that happened, that’s awful. :/
I most I do in a dungeon is an emote or a line, or nothing at all. I wanna get outta there ASAP too, so playing the best of your ability should be top priority.
I’ve ran into a few Haurchefant RPers and I usually LOVE them. One of my best dungeon runs was with one. He was fabulous...
