Beat Zelda BoTW. Uh. Hoo boy. Cut for spoilers/biased bitching

REALLY good game. Like, stupid good. The journey to Hyrule castle was great. I got the master sword, explored bunches, had lots of tough and close encounters that were pretty memorable. Journey wise that might be the strongest Zelda has ever been for me.

It just sucks that they royally fucked up the most important part to me. The VILLAIN. I busted into Hyrule castle in 3 minutes. Beat Ganon in one try–done. I had the master sword but I didn’t upgrade much gear, and even WITH the guardians damaging him like hell, I expected something….i dunno, more not homunculus boss rush? Yeah TP kinda did it but that final fight was fun.

All I knew about THIS Ganon before was he was a giant ball of hate and…he didn’t say anything. Nothing. Boom, boss fight, gogo. Just doesn’t compare to the build up in other Zelda games for me? Majora might be my favorite in that category.

Just, Thinking of the castle sequence in OoT, the moon final chapter of MM, the gloriousness of the final fight in WW, this…let me down, not gonna lie.

BoTW made the world so organic, I love the character that inhabit it! I love the expanded diversity in the races, even Gerudo! I was completely sucked in for days!

Then it just kinda ended on a whimper. Still a DAMN fine game, but fuuuuuuck it sucks to be a villain fan.
