Watching Beauty and the Beast to prepare for tomorrow’s party and I still find it hilarious that, according to the movie, the Beast was like FRIGGIN 11 when he turned down the Enchantress and was transformed.
(Since the magic rose will bloom until his 21st year… and during ‘Be Our Guest’ the cutlery say “10 years we’ve been rusting!” sooo… 21 - 10 = 11)
LIKE OF COURSE HE TURNED HE AWAY. MOM SAID NOT TO LET STRANGERS INTO THE HOUSE, SCARY WOMAN OFFERING FLOWERS
The sequels explicitly depict him as a child, if you count them as canon~
So y’know, the enchantress punished an eleven-year-old for being an eleven-year-old.
WHY WAS HE PUNISHED FOR LITERALLY DOING WHAT EVERY 11 YEAR OLD SHOULD DO
STRANGER DANGER
WHY DIDN’T A BUTLER OPEN THE DAMN DOOR
WHERE ARE HIS PARENTS
Not to mention she turned all of his servants into furniture for no reason
Like, seriously, what did they do?
we had a mini story where it was a fae pissed that the humans encroached too much into her forest and wrecked that shit.
Turned all the huntsmen into wolves, covered the castle in vines, all that good stuff.
Also teen years as the beast? No wonder he has 0 clue how to act socially lmao.
