I’ve had a few requests for Lapidot, so I thought I would post an all-around response here! While I am a big fan of multishipping and Lapidot was my first Peridot ship, I really can’t guarantee I will be drawing more anytime in the near future. Luckily, there are a lot of creative people in the fandom who pull it off a lot better than I could!

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, my perceptions of Lapis in the current canon require her to be almost completely OOC for me to piece together any sort of healthy relationship/development between the two. And for lack of a better description, that’s like empty calories for my creative side.

To illustrate, this is my muse on (current canon) Lapidot, you can probably see it in the art I’ve already done:

Which can be cute and in-character, but there’s not a lot of what makes Peridot the tiniest, angriest space dorito there!

Whereas this is my muse on The X-Files Perinaldo/Deny Everything:

Even platonically, she just feels a lot more well-rounded and dynamic to me in this context. Plus she even gave me a fusion idea on top of it!

….yes, Chrysoberyl was accidentally born at a Halloween rave while doing The Monster Mash. How does that make you feel. It kinda made the Crystal Gems irritable

Anything is possible for the future! But for right now, your princess artist is in another castle boat, haha
