Amiibo stuff

Bit of a ramble sorry

Small town so you can get lucky with amiibo here but– no best buy or toysrus that’s very close so that kinda stinks for those exclusives. 

That and we get screwed on certain amiibos for some reason? Like for some reason some uncommon semi-rare ones NEVER make it to our store at all.

And its kinda funny how its pretty much the same small group of people that usually make it to the openings too, and most of us are retail workers and try to help out people best we can.  Most of use already knew how many were in stock and the stock all the places in town received within this small group.

When I was chilling by Gamestop the dude that works there offered to see if the Walmart next door where I work had any Charizards left for the couple waiting in line. Since we had 2 hours left to wait and Gamestop got 0 and the 4 at Target were already gone, and I was able to confirm we had received 8 Charizards in our store and -only- my roomie was there at midnight to pick mine up so maybe they still have one. They didn’t but I was able to at least inform them about Jigglypuff and the wife managed to drive out and get one before they sold out while we waited. 

We have one dude that is definitely a scalper. There was no formal line at target so there was only 5 of us and he immediate grabbed 2 robins and lucinas (2 per was the cap) when he bolted over (Target received 4 :l).

So basically within 3 minutes of us bolting to the back, most immediately were gone.


Kinda sucks cause I know we get a lot of people streaming through the day asking for them.

Like our store received 8 gold Marios and I tried to tell people about them when I could. 

Just sorta sad/funny we get posters advertising the gold Mario two days later and….uhm. They sold out immediately and we never got more so….

And I got pretty lucky with Ness. The couple before me were planning on buying the one but since I helped them with Silver Mario and Jigglypuff and passing on when we may receive more amiibo shipments before we knew they only had one Ness, they let my have it. We were the only ones there and time passed pretty fast too. They were so nice :<

I just feel really bad for the kids stuck going to school yesterday because unless someone got an amiibo for them they were pretty much SOL. All new amiibos were gone after not too long.

There was a grandpa there at target trying to get amiibo for their grandkid and me and the two gamestop dudes helped him out since he didn’t know which ones were the new wave or what was exclusive–so happy we were able to help someone there too. :)

Finally getting energy to do stuff again. Cleaning my room/laundry and just regular stuff.
